Simulate a revolving balance
What the simulation includes
The calculator compounds the entered rate once per month on the modeled balance. For eligible Brazilian revolving-credit or statement-installment debts originated from 3 January 2024, the legal ceiling limits total interest and financial charges to the original debt amount. This tool uses twice the entered principal as a simplified ceiling and does not calculate the issuer’s complete statement.
Important legal and practical limits
The Central Bank says the cap applies to eligible operations originated from 3 January 2024, including revolving credit and installment financing of the statement balance; it does not cover interest-bearing purchase installments. The cap includes interest and financial charges, while this simplified model applies it only to modeled interest. The monthly rate is the value you enter, not a market average. Check your statement, contract and the Central Bank’s current information.
