Unix timestamp converter
Convert Unix timestamps in seconds or milliseconds to an ISO UTC date, or convert an ISO date with an explicit time-zone offset back to a timestamp.
Enter values to create a result.
Example
1767225600 seconds is 2026-01-01T00:00:00.000Z. The same instant in milliseconds is 1767225600000.
Limits and time-zone details
- Seconds and milliseconds are different units; choose the one matching your input.
- An ISO date must include a time and explicit time zone. Local date formats such as 01/02/2026 are not interpreted.
- The tool does not silently treat a local time as UTC.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Unix timestamp?
It is a count of time from the Unix epoch, 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z. This tool accepts seconds or milliseconds.
Why does my timestamp show a different local time?
The result is ISO UTC and ends in Z. A device may display the same instant in its local time zone.
Can I enter a date without an offset?
No. Include Z for UTC or a numeric offset such as -03:00 so the instant is unambiguous.
