How the conversion works
The calculator converts through kilograms, then displays the selected target unit. The pound is exactly 0.45359237 kg; the common avoirdupois ounce is one sixteenth of a pound. Results are rounded for display.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a troy-ounce converter?
No. It uses the common avoirdupois ounce (about 28.3495 g). A troy ounce is about 31.1035 g.
Why can a result have decimals?
Many unit ratios are not whole numbers. The displayed value is rounded; use the stated factor if a calculation requires a specific precision.
Does this measure force or body weight?
No. It converts entered mass units and does not measure a person or calculate force.
