Brazil net salary calculator

Enter monthly gross pay, dependants and other deductions to estimate take-home pay for a CLT employment relationship in Brazil. The estimate uses the Brazilian INSS contribution and IRRF withholding tables applicable in 2026. It is a simulation, not a payslip or payroll confirmation.

Estimate take-home pay

Enter the monthly amount before deductions.
The dependant deduction depends on current rules and the information filed with the employer.
For example, transit benefit, health plan or support payments, when applicable.
Enter the amounts to see an estimate.

How the estimate works

Brazilian employee INSS contributions are calculated progressively by contribution bands. IRRF withholding uses the taxable base, permitted deductions and the monthly reduction applicable in 2026. Each rate applies only to its band; moving into a higher band does not apply the higher rate to the entire salary. The estimate also subtracts any additional amount you enter.

What this simulation leaves out

This tool models a simplified monthly salary for an employee under Brazil’s CLT labor regime. Multiple income sources, overtime, premiums, vacation pay, the 13th salary, support payments, benefits, absences, collective agreements and other payroll items can change the result. It does not calculate pay for freelancers, MEIs or companies and is not accounting, legal or tax advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is FGTS deducted from salary?

As a rule, the employer makes the FGTS deposit; it is not shown as an employee deduction on the payslip. Caixa explains the linked-account rules.

Why can two people with the same salary take home different amounts?

Dependants, support payments, benefits, advances, premiums and other payroll items can change the tax base or deductions.

Does this give my exact pay?

No. It estimates the main deductions entered and uses the 2026 tables. Actual payroll depends on the individual case; compare the result with your payslip and ask your HR team.

Can the tables change?

Yes. INSS publishes contribution bands and the Federal Revenue Service publishes income-tax tables. Check the official pages before making decisions.
