Compare two dates

Select both dates.

How to read the results

Elapsed days are the difference between the two dates; the start date is not counted as an additional full day. The Monday-to-Friday count includes both endpoints and excludes only Saturdays and Sundays. The years-months-days interval accounts for months of different lengths and leap years.

Examples and uses

  • From April 1 to April 10, 9 days elapse; the weekday count depends on the actual dates.
  • For calendar age, compare a birth date with a reference date.
  • For a countdown, compare today with the event date.

Business days and official deadlines

The weekday result does not remove public holidays. Business-day calendars, contractual periods and legal deadlines depend on the location and applicable rule. Check the relevant source before relying on a date for an official deadline.
