Text case converter
Paste text, choose a transformation and copy the result. Processing happens in your browser. Case conversion follows Unicode and language-sensitive mappings, but title case is a simple convenience rule, not a style-guide checker.
Choose a transformation
Uppercase and lowercase use the selected language’s case mappings. Title Case capitalizes words and leaves a small set of common English particles lowercase, except at the beginning. Sentence case starts sentences with a capital where the script has letter case. Alternate changes the case of cased letters in sequence. Reverse changes the order of text graphemes.
Case depends on language and style
Some writing systems do not distinguish upper and lower case. Language-specific mappings can differ, and one character may become more than one character when its case changes. Title conventions also vary across languages and style guides, so check names, citations and formal documents after conversion.

Frequently asked questions
Does uppercase conversion preserve every character one to one?
Not always. Unicode case mappings can expand one character into multiple characters, so the result may have a different length.
Does Title Case follow a style guide?
No. It applies a simple rule and a short list of common lowercase particles. Use the style guide required for your publication or organization.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. This tool performs the transformation in your browser.
