What the estimate includes

Vacation pay is estimated in proportion to the days taken, plus the constitutionally required one-third bonus. Choosing 20 days models converting 10 days into the statutory cash allowance and adds the related one-third. INSS and IRRF are applied to the estimated vacation-pay base plus one-third; the allowance is treated under the Brazilian rules cited below.

Important limits

The tool assumes entitlement to 30 days and does not check absences, the accrual period, average variable pay, collective agreements, termination or eligibility for split leave. The 15- and 10-day options are examples only and do not confirm legal validity. This is not official payroll, legal advice or an individual HR calculation.

Frequently asked questions

When must vacation pay be paid?

The CLT requires vacation pay and, when applicable, the cash allowance to be paid no later than two days before the leave begins. Confirm the date and statement with the employer.

Can leave be split?

The general rule allows up to three periods with the employee’s agreement: one of at least 14 consecutive days and the others of at least five consecutive days each. Some employment relationships have specific rules.

Can I convert part of my leave into cash?

The CLT allows an employee to convert up to one third of the vacation period into a cash allowance. Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service classifies this vacation-sale allowance as exempt income in its guidance; check how payroll applies to your case.
